Since her debut to the game in 2025, Crazdude has been honored to participate in Cosmell Cosplay’s Trading Card Rally – a promotional event hosted by Lotus of Cosmell Cosplay while both creators are vending at the same conventions! As always, this perpetual print nerd and novice RPG-player has found this project inspiring, challenging, and motivating for Craz!
Designing the Cards
Crazdude heavily considered her word choice and details with the understanding that the rally was designed by Lotus with the concept of people using these artist cards in their various TCG decks. Craz has the most fun playing the dinosaur role-playing video game Path of Titans which has been a valuable source of inspiration but admits that she has never played trading card games in her free time. However with her MMO RPG time in Path of Titans, countless hours of watching inspirational D&D content (many thanks to Joe Fudge of ‘Fudged Rolls’ for the captivating ‘Sunforged’ campaign and hilarious ‘Big Bad Evil Gang’ campaign!), and a little research, she did her best with her first foray into TCG design. She aimed to maintain (somewhat) realistic stats while evoking the theme of the various events and she hoped that folks would enjoy the artwork even if the cards might be a bit overpowered at times!
Crazdude’s first Trading Card Rally was Midwest Fur Fest 2025 and featured her dapper Latenivenatrix Darxkai for the Villains theme. This was her first attempt at designing a trading card and worked under the pressure of producing a cool card without a sample or proof to make edits. A perfectionist print nerd’s worst fear! Thankfully the darker print on the backside was suitable for the Villainous theme and holographic effects came out great despite some aspects she would want to consider for future designs!
With some inspiration from fellow participants and lessons learned, Craz was excited to dive into her Motor City Fur Con, AnthrOhio, and Anthrocon trading card designs! To add some extra layer of consistency to her concepts, she took her future card planning to a spreadsheet to organize her concepts around color schemes, rank, HP, and other elements.
